What is a tarot reading by email?

An email tarot card reading is the same reading a tarot reader would give you across a table, written down. You describe your situation and question. I shuffle, lay out a spread for that question, and write the interpretation card by card and then as a whole. You receive the write-up together with a photo of the actual spread.

The difference from a live session is the format, not the care. A written reading takes longer to produce and is easier to use: you can re-read it in a week, when the situation has moved on and a line you skimmed suddenly makes sense. How tarot readings by email work: 5 steps

1. Choose a reading and a delivery speed

Pick the reading that matches your question in the shop: a single focused question, three separate questions, or a themed reading such as love, career, or timing. Most products offer Same Hour or Same Day delivery; this comparison explains the difference.

2. Add your details, then check out

Type your details in the “Your details for this reading” box on the product page before you add to cart: first name, main question, up to two related points, and brief context. Some products ask for extra details, such as the other person’s first name or birth date. Your details travel with the order, so there is nothing to send afterwards. If you skipped the box, email them with your order number to [email protected] from your checkout address.

3. Your delivery window starts

The Same Hour or Same Day window begins when your order arrives with complete details. If the box was left empty, it starts when your emailed details arrive, because without your question there is nothing to read.

4. I prepare your reading

I sit with your question, shuffle, lay out the spread, photograph it, and write. Every reading is prepared personally for the question you sent, not pulled from a template.

5. Your tarot reading PDF arrives by email

Read it once, then read it again a day later. Most people find the second read is where the practical part sinks in.

What to include in your details

The quality of a written reading depends on the quality of the intake, so here is the exact checklist for the details box:

• First name.
• Main question, ideally one sentence that starts with what, how, or where.
• Up to two related points, such as a decision you are weighing or a worry you keep returning to.
• Brief context: how long, what changed recently, what you are trying to decide. Three or four sentences is plenty.
• Extra details if the product page lists them.

Example: “Priya. Main question: What do I need to understand about the job offer I received this week, and how should I approach the decision? Related: whether staying would cost me growth; how to handle the conversation with my current manager. Context: five years in my role, the offer pays more but means relocating.”

How long does an email tarot reading take?

At PuraTarot there are two delivery options on most readings:

• Same Hour: prepared and emailed within one hour after your complete intake details are received, subject to reader availability. It costs $2–3 more.
• Same Day: a same day tarot reading is prepared and emailed later the same day once your complete intake details are received.

In both cases the window starts when your complete details are in: at checkout if you filled the box, or when your email arrives if you did not.

Are online tarot readings legit? How to tell a careful reading from a template

Some are careful and personal; some are copy-paste. You cannot verify a reader’s intuition, but you can check whether the process is honest. Signs of a genuine written reading:

• The reading refers to your actual question and context, not a generic “love and money” summary.
• You get a photo of the real spread, so the cards being interpreted are the cards that were drawn.
• The reader is clear about limits: no guarantees, no medical or legal claims, a visible disclaimer.
• There is a structured intake. A reader who never asks for your question is not reading for you.
• A named person prepares the reading, and there is a real way to contact them.

Red flags are the opposite: promised outcomes, fear-based upsells such as “curse removal”, and readings that could have been sent to anyone.

When should you not get a tarot reading?

Tarot is a reflection tool, and there are moments when it is the wrong tool:

• In a crisis. If you are in danger or in acute distress, talk to a person or a professional first.
• For medical, mental-health, legal, or financial decisions. Those need qualified advice, and I do not read them.
• For pregnancy, missing persons, gambling, or another person’s private thoughts. These are outside the scope of any reading I offer.
• When you have already asked the same question three times this week. Repeating a question rarely brings clarity; acting on the last answer does.

The unspoken rule of tarot, if there is one, is this: ask about yourself, ask once, and do something with what you read.

Can AI or ChatGPT read tarot cards?

A chatbot can list card meanings and assemble them into paragraphs. What it cannot do is shuffle a physical deck for your question, lay out a spread, and read it in the context of the details you sent. A personalized reading by email is that human process, with the photo of the spread as evidence. If you want a quick generic overview, a tool will do; if you want a reading about your situation, you want a person.

Do I need to be online at a set time?

No. There is no appointment. You order when it suits you, add your details in the box, and the reading arrives in your inbox within the window you chose. You can read it immediately or later; the PDF is yours to keep.

What if I left the details box empty?

Your delivery window simply has not started yet, because there is nothing to read until your question arrives. Email your details whenever you are ready, from your checkout email address, with your order number in it, and the Same Hour or Same Day window begins from that point.

Can I ask more than one question?

Every reading takes one main question plus up to two related points, which keeps the interpretation focused instead of scattered across topics. If you have several unrelated questions, such as love, work, and a move, the Three-Question reading is designed for that, with each question read separately.

What if my reading has not arrived?

First check spam and promotions folders, since PDFs sometimes land there. Then check that your details were in the box at checkout (they appear on your order confirmation); if not, email them to [email protected] from your checkout address with the order number, because the window only starts once details are complete. Is an email reading less personal than a live one?

It is personal in a different way. You lose the back-and-forth of a conversation, but you gain a reading that was prepared with time, written for your exact question, and that you can return to. Many people find the written form easier to absorb than a fast spoken session.
