The Star Tarot Card Meaning: Upright, Reversed, Love & Yes or No

The Star tarot card means hope, healing and renewed faith after a difficult period. Upright, it shows you recovering, feeling guided again and moving toward something that truly fits you. Reversed, the hope is still there but hard to feel: discouragement, self-doubt or disconnection from what once inspired you.

The Star upright meaning

The Star comes right after The Tower in the deck. Once the storm has passed, a woman kneels under a bright star and pours water onto the land and into a pool, calm and unguarded. This card says the worst is behind you. Healing is happening, your sense of purpose is returning and you can trust the future again. It is also a card of wishes, so name clearly what you hope for.

The Star reversed meaning

Reversed, The Star shows a dimmed light. You may feel tired of waiting, unsure anything will change, or cut off from your spiritual side. The card asks you to tend your hope like a small flame: rest, small kind acts toward yourself, and one thing that inspires you each day.

The Star in love

In love, The Star brings healing after heartbreak, a gentle and sincere new connection, or a relationship entering a peaceful, hopeful phase. For twin flame or soulmate questions, it is a very positive sign. Reversed, old wounds still affect how you love, and some healing is needed before you can fully open up.

The Star for career and money

At work, The Star favours creative projects, recognition and a path that feels meaningful. With money, it shows recovery after a loss and steady improvement when you act with patience.

Is The Star a yes or no card?

The Star is a gentle yes. Things are moving in your favour. Reversed, it is still yes, but slower than you would like.
